Once we decided to proceed with our adoption plan, we got to work on the paper work piece. We started the process in February and had our website up by the first week in April! We had a fabulous social worker (which was very different for me since I am a social worker myself). She walked us through the process and answered all of our questions that we had and believe me, we had a lot of questions! While we were completing our homestudy we were working on our profile/website which turned out to be fabulous....thanks to Hal at My Adoption Advisor, and Joanna at Our Chosen Child Check it out...www.kellyandjoshadopt.com.
One funny moment during this process was getting finger printed for the FBI background check. We had Parker, our 2 year old with us. He was watching/playing on the IPAD as we stood in line to be fingerprinted...it was quite interesting:)

The decision...
Josh and I met with A Child's Hope this past January to discuss adoption. We had talked about adoption before our 2nd son was born but decided we would try IVF one time and lucky for us, it worked! So, once Parker (our 2nd son) turned 2 we decided we would start the discussion of a 3rd child. That is what led us to a Child's Hope.
We met with the agency and had a great meeting! We felt good about the agency, the people who worked there and the process. We left there feeling good but decided that we really needed to talk about it, pray about it and do what felt right. During this time we talked and prayed alot. About a month passed and we knew what we wanted to do. I contacted Michelle at ACH and we got the ball rolling!
